South Dakota Patriot Guard Riders
Field of Remembrance Project

WHAT IS THE FIELD OF REMEMBRANCE?

The 'Field of Remembrance' is a field of flags sponsored by the Patriot Guard Riders members of South Dakota. The Field will be erected on the Buffalo Chip Campground at Sturgis, SD, at the beginning of the Black Hills Classic Motorcycle Rally on August 4, 2008. The fields’ purpose is to show honor and respect for all our military Heroes who have given their lives in the cause of freedom around the world. The field will consist of about 60 flagpoles if all needed funds are raised. Fifty-one of the poles will have both a US and a state or territory flag on it. The rest of the poles will have military service flags, a POW/MIA flag, an American Legion flag, or a Patriot Guard Riders flag. In order to make the Field a reality, we need sponsorship of the flags, and contributions from anyone who supports this cause. Please read below for information on how you can help.

Thank you to all that helped and sponsored flags. More photos are on the photo page. Photos are courtesy of M&M Helicopters.
